Jirah Records was formed in 2005 when the song writing team Carl "Guitar" Watkins and Dr. Seth Brownridge realized that their heart was in the creation of music that will bless the world. Having rediscovered their faith in God they began to create Gospel music and opened the studio to other local musicians. This action has spawned the careers of a number of new artists on the Gospel scene, including, Wydana Grinston, Sherry Wayne and Sister Naomi Willoughby who are featured on our first compilation album entitled "Provider". In addition other artists such as Cecelia B. Jones and Electra Lusk released their debut albums with music written and produced by Jirah Records and recorded in our studios. Carl "Guitar" Watkins went on to record and co produce his own album when he and Dr. Seth Brownridge teamed up to write numerous gospel songs which have been heard on radio and internet streaming services throughout the world. The studio has also served to fulfill the lifelong dream of a number of gospel artists who passed on but left their music legacy to live on. This includes the work of the late Curtis McGruder who recorded his album " No Spaceship To Heaven" at Jirah records. We feel it is part of our mission to allow God's ministry to continue to flow through the airways long after these artists have gone home. In addition Jirah records was instrumental in releasing an album by the famous Legend Singers. Jirah records continues to upgrade and expand it's facilities in order to achieve our goal of spreading the gospel and uplifting the lives of God's people.
